We offer banner ads that appear on selected pages, either exclusively
or on a rotating basis with other advertisers, and fixed space under
our Sponsors & Friends menu item. These ads will be offered at no charge through February 2008, after which there will be a nominal fee.
The banner ad space is located at the top of each page. The full space is 468 pixels wide by 300 pixels high. The width is limited by the underlying software; the height is limited by the webmaster but it could be adjusted larger or smaller. Banner ads may occupy the full space, half space (234x300, side by side with another ad in the same banner), or quarter space (234x150, shared space with three other ads in the same banner).
Banner ads can appear on any page.
Banner ads can be displayed such that 1% to 100% of page loads will see any particular ad; the ad is static for any given page load. The software driving the banner ads will rotate through the ads targeted for that page such that each one is displayed according to a "weight" from 1 to 10. Ads with higher weights are displayed more often than ads with lower weight.
