With the creation of the new MARFU D1, some of the former PRU D1 teams are now playing in PRU D2.  Also, we have one new team, Carroll Community College (CCC) and the addition of the University of Maryland "C" side (similar to Navy "C") to the field.  There are now 16 teams playing in PRU D2.  We have divided them into four groups of four teams each, as follows:

West Group Baltimore Group DC Group East Group
Frostburg Univ  Towson Univ  Catholic Univ  Salisbury Univ
Mount St. Mary's  UMBC  Georgetown Univ  George Mason Univ
Carroll Comm Coll  Johns Hopkins Univ  George Washington  St. Mary's College
Loyola College  American Univ  Navy ""C

Each group will play a full round robin within their group, plus two more games against teams from other groups, for a total of five games.  All games will count in the final standings.  Each group winner will play in the Cup Bracket of the playoffs (four of the top eight teams), while the other four teams in the Cup Bracket will be the ones with the highest table points.  All eight teams will be ranked 1-8 on the basis of their Super 12 table points.  The remaining eight teams will play in the Plate Bracket.  Nearly all PRU College Men D2 teams will be involved in playoff games on all three weekends from Nov 7 through Nov 15, so do not schedule friendlies in anticipation of not making the playoffs.  The playoff bracketing can be viewed online (see the Results page for College Men D2).

The top teams from the playoffs (two or three, TBD by MARFU) will enter the MARFU playoffs in March 2010, and the top teams from that (two or three, TBD by USA Rugby) will enter the USA playoffs in April of 2010.
