Effective September 1, 2007, USA Rugby is moving to a new CIPP cycle. Up until September 1, the CIPP cycle has been January 1 to December 31, or calendar year. The new CIPP cycle from September 1 to August 31 of the following year matches the competition cycle.

If you already registered sometime between January 1, 2007 and August 31, 2007, then your CIPP registration is good until December 31, 2007. You would then re-register sometime between January 1, 2008 and August 31, 2008, and your CIPP registration will be good until August 31, 2008 and you will pay a prorated fee for that period (7/12 of the full annual fee regardless of when you register). You would then re-register again on September 1, 2008 or later, and your registration will be good until August 31, 2009, after which you will be on an September-to-August cycle. Remember, you pay the full registration fee no matter when you register in the cycle since you're expected to register as soon as possible.

If you are registering in 2007 for the first time on/after September 1, 2007 (either you are a new player or you delayed your re-registration until on/after September 1),then your CIPP registration will be good until August 31, 2008. You would then re-register again on September 1, 2008 or later, and your registration will be good until August 31, 2009, after which you will be on an September-to-August cycle. Remember, you pay the full registration fee no matter when you register in the cycle since you're expected to register as soon as possible.
